Thué is a 18th century converted Water Mill located in the Vendée region of Western France. Recently converted into two self contained dwellings. These are referred to as ‘The Mill’ and ‘The Wheelhouse’. They are set-up to accommodate up to ten people in the Wheelhouse (four bedrooms) and sixteen in the Mill (seven bedrooms) . Thué is exceptionally spacious, set in six acres of private land and only a 10 minute walk from L’Hermenault, a small farming village. It is ideally situated, combining easy access from Cross Channel Ferry Ports and the fabulous climate found South of the Loire Valley. Facilities include fully equipped kitchens, large lounge areas, shared swimming pool and private garden areas surrounded by woodland. Ideally located in the Southern Vendée, West France, 3 hours easy drive from the nearest Cross Channel Ferry Port, St Malo and a 45 minute drive to beaches and the bustling fishing town of La Rochelle. The lively resorts of Les Sables d'Olonne and St. Jean de Monts are only a short drive away. Thué is secluded but within 10 minute walking distance of the quiet village of L'Hermenault, which boasts friendly local bars and shops (including a fantastic bakery - ask for their croissants!!, butchers, post office, supermarket, bank/cask point etc).

The grounds comprise 6 Acres of garden and woods with shallow stream, cycle track through wooded area, new fixed 28ft swimming pool and two large BBQ areas with large fixed stone built BBQs. The Mill: Seven good sized bedrooms (Rm1 - Queen Size bed, Rm2 - Double bed, Rm3 - Pair bunk beds + Single Bed, Rm4 - Three Single Beds, Rm 5 - Double bed, Rm 6 - Very Large 2nd Lounge/Bedroom with Double bed, Rm7 - Two Single Beds) All quilts, pillows & covers provided for up to 16 people; a 25 foot long lounge/dining area with an original six foot wide traditional stone fireplace; large fully equipped kitchen (cooker, combined microwave/grill, fridge, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, automatic washing machine etc); bathroom (bath & shower), shower room (shower & WC), separate WC. Electric wall heaters in each room provide heating in addition to the log fire if required. Garden furniture, and stone barbeque. Table tennis room with permanent table. Video & DVD Players, UK Satelite TV system (this will only work for non encrypted UK TV and radio channels e.g. BBC1, BBC2, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Sky News, Channel5, Cartoon Channel, Radio 5 etc).
